Some people looking for a church are asking, what's in it for me. We believe a better approach is to ask how we can be a blessing to others. After all, Jesus came not to be served, but to serve. So let's follow his example.
The heart of Hope Church is our commitment to love God and to love people. One of the ways we demonstrate our love for God and people is through ministry. When you come to Hope you will find a variety of ways to serve God and people. God created us each of us differently. He gave each of us natural talents and he gives each follower of Christ spiritual gifts. Your gift may be serving or teaching, or encouraging, or helping people in need, or you may have a different gift that can be a blessing to others. Depending on your gifts you may find a place to do ministry in our children's church, children's choir, Sunday school for all ages, or youth ministry. Small groups are a great way to find a place to belong and care for one another. Perhaps God has given you musical gifts to serve in the worship band or as a vocalist. There are opportunities to serve in women's fellowship, men's breakfast, building maintenance, and drama. When we use our gifts to serve God and serve others we experience the fulfillment of doing what God created us to do. Plus it's fun to build relationships with the people we meet as we serve. |
