Eric came to Hope Church as Pastor in August of 2017. He is a graduate of Washington State University; University of Washington, Foster School of Business (Executive Development Program); Victory Bible Institute; Andersonville Theological Seminary (Master of Theology, Biblical Theology); The School of Urban Ministry; and Luther Rice College and Seminary (Master of Arts, Ministry).

Eric currently serves on the faculty of the School of Urban Ministry, and has spoken internationally on Biblical Ethics, Biblical Business Principles, Ministry in the Marketplace, and Systematic Theology.

Eric and his wife Debbie have been married 36 years and live in Tacoma.
