What We Believe

In essential beliefs — we have unity.

“There is one Body and one Spirit... there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all...” Eph. 4:4-6

In non-essential beliefs — we have liberty.

“Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters... Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls... So then each of us will give an account of himself to God... So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God.” Romans 14:1,4,12,22

In all our beliefs — we show charity.

“...If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can move mountains — but have not love, I amount to nothing at all.” 1 Cor. 13:2 (Ph)

The Essentials We Believe

The Scriptures

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are inspired of God, inerrant in the original writings, and of supreme and final authority in all matters of life and faith.

The Godhead

We believe in one God eternally existing in three equal persons:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

God the Father

We believe that God the Father is a personal being. He is a spirit. He is holy, just, sovereign, omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. He is immanent, yet transcendent. He is immutable, infinite, without beginning or end. He is love.

The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

We  believe that God the Son became incarnate in the person of Jesus Christ who was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a substitutionary sacrifice; and that all that believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.

We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into  Heaven, in His present life there for us as High Priest, Intercessor and Advocate, and in His personal return.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, possessed of all the distinctively divine attributes.  He is God.  He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment.  He regenerates, seals, and sets apart  the  believer to a holy life.  At regeneration He baptizes the believer into the body of Christ and comes to indwell him permanently.

Man's Creation and Fall

We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but that spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility become sinners in thought, word and deed.

Satan

We believe in the reality and personality of Satan.

Salvation

We believe that whoever by faith, apart from works of any kind, receives the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior is saved from the penalty of sin and born into God’s family by the Holy Spirit at the moment of believing.

Walk

We believe that all born-again believers still possess the Adamic nature in this life, but that God has made full provision whereby His children may be more than conquerors through the Lord Jesus Christ by the power of His Holy Spirit, who indwells each one.

We believe that all believers are called to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, and to deny all ungodliness and worldly lusts.

The Church

We believe that the Church, which is called the Body of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born again believers irrespective of organizational affiliation.

The Final State

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the unending blessedness of the saved and unending punishment of the lost.
